PROJECTS

We have worked on several projects both within and outside of the Kwadacha Traditional Territory. Our projects range from road building and construction to mining and environmental.

  • In Fall of 2022 KNR LP, along with Sasuchan Development Corporation and Chu Cho Industries completed a 60km road for Benchmark Metals and Thesis Gold in the Toodoggone Region.

  • Area 4 Construction Project was completed mid-June 2020. This saw KNR LP’s D6 dozer and 330 excavator working in partnership with Formula Contractors Ltd. KNR LP’s revenue was $92,586 with a $75,000 gross revenue share for Kwadacha Nation. Of the two employees on site, one was a band member.

  • Portage Mountain Quarry job ran throughout the summer of 2020. Through collaboration with Duz Cho, KNR LP was able to rent/purchase two Bell 45E Rock trucks and provide equipment services to the project, which wrapped up in October. This job is expected to start up again in May of 2021. KNR LP’s revenue was $909,229. Out of eight employees, four are Kwadacha Nation members.

  • Hudson Hope Berm Project through a public tender process, Cantex Okanagan Construction Ltd. was awarded the HHSPP job. KNR LP negotiated with Cantex to provide equipment services on the project. Revenue to date is approximately $390,000 with an expectation of 1.2 million by project completion in 2022. Currently there are two band members working on site.

  • Farrell Creek Grading and paving project start date February 8, 2021. This Project Is Part of the BC Hydro set aside for Kwadacha Nation. Through the Nation’s partnership with Formula Contractors and pleased to announce the project was awarded December 14, 2020, KNR LP will benefit on this project by providing equipment and labor services.

  • In the Spring of 2022, KNR LP purchased a 20-acre property at 6267 Monterey Road in the Hart Industrial Area of Prince George. This property will be used for future development and potential business opportunities.

  • Disposition agreement with BC Timber Sales, that saw us action off 400,000 m3 in our five year cut control.

  • KNR LP and the Province of British Columbia completed a 54 hectare fuel mitigation project for the community. This project was important to reducing the risk of wildfire in the community of Fort Ware. Through this initiative we were able to purchase a skidder, buncher, processor, log loader and we employed about 12 people. This started November 2021 and was finished spring 2022.

  • Working with Kwadacha and Dunkley, we had secured a 44 man camp for the Community. This camp will provide better accommodations for contractors working in the community.

MINING & EXPLORATION

In 2023, KNRLP will be providing the following services to mining and exploration projects: core cutting, camp services, trucking, earthworks, environmental, and engineering. Click here for employment opportunities in this field.

FORESTRY & EARTHWORKS

Since the beginning of 2023, our team has recognized significant work is required in order to grow our forestry and earthworks division. We will continue to pursue work in this area.
